Vivo Energy wins five Sustained Performance Awards, the ultimate recognition in aviation logistics
This year, Vivo Energy supported its vision to be Africa’s most respected energy company by again being awarded the highly demanding Sustained Performance Awards for its aviation sites in Morocco and Mauritius.
Morocco was honoured with three awards for Marrakech, Ouarzazate and Errachidia airports, while Mauritius was recognised for its POOL JIP & JUHI sites. Created in 2018 by the Joint Inspection Group, the reference when it comes to air transport inspection, the award is based on the following strict criteria:
1. Inspection/Audit rating
(a) three successive “Good” inspection results (2019-2022)
(b) Findings do not indicate a decrease in performance vs. first year
(c) Zero Outstanding and Zero High Priority Recommendations (2022)
2. HSSE performance
(a) No Fatalities, LTIs
(b) No Fires, Aircraft Incident, Major spills, Misfuelling, Serious PQI
(c) Reported Near Misses and Safety Walks/Spot Checks
Exceptionally, this year, the jury considered the last four years in these criteria rather than three, due to the COVID 19 crisis, as travel ban some sites were not inspected by the JIG inspectors.
This recognition from the industry's leading experts is further proof of the Group's excellence in its aviation business. A success made possible by the dedication, expertise and professionalism of the operational teams on the ground, as well as the Aviation central technical team.
Abdou Diop, Group Aviation Technical Lead at Vivo Energy, has now joined the JIG Operation Committee and Standards Working Group.
